About the event
The American Community Gardening Association (ACGA) has partnered with USDA NRCS GAS to provide educational opportunities to leaders who manage community gardens, urban farms, and other agricultural entities throughout Georgia. Learn proven strategies that community organizers use to develop dynamic leaders and create strong communities through a participatory approach. As a "train the trainers" session, attendees learn the principles and practices of community building, and how to pass these techniques on to others in their community by conducting their own workshops. Participants also learn of Georgia's 20 common superfoods and their benefits. Who should attend? Community leaders, educators, government employees, elected officials, Master Gardener Volunteers, agency representatives, and other seeking to create healthy neighborhoods.
