University of Washington Dorm Housing

Dorm housing is available at rates considerably lower than local hotel rates, but some restrictions apply (see below). Each room has an en suite bathroom.

Package Rates
(includes 3 nights of lodging and taxes)

  • $182.40/person, double occupancy
  • $284.40/person, single occupancy
  • Check-in: Thursday, August 8
  • Check-out: Sunday, August 11

Most rooms are double occupancy; some single rooms are available for a higher rate.

You may request your travel compantion as your roommate. Otherwise, the UW will assign you a roommate of the same sex.

Early Arrivals/Late Departures
Early arrival or late departure days are available for an additional fee on the following dates:

  • Early Arrival Check-in:
    Tuesday, August 6 or Wednesday, August 7
  • Late Departure Check-out:
    Monday, August 12 or Tuesday, August 13
  • $63.50/person, per night, double occupancy
  • $97.50/person, per night, single occupancy

There is no refund for canceled early arrival or Late Departure nights after the reservation deadline date.

Please reserve your room as soon as possible. Reservations made after July 18, 2013 will be on a space available basis, and will be subject to a $25 + tax late reservation fee.

Airport

Sea-Tac Airport is 20 miles from the conference site.

There is great public transportation from the airport to Seattle. The light rail runs 7 days a week and takes you directly to downtown Seattle. Other options to get from Sea-Tac airport include shuttles, car rentals, and taxis.

The conference will be held primarily at Gould Hall at the University of Washington located in the University District neighborhood.

Parking at the Conference

University of Washington campus parking rates are:

  • Monday–Friday, $15 all day
  • Saturday & Sunday, $5 all day

Getting around Seattle

Buses are the main type of public transportation. Many buses go from downtown Seattle to the University District. Look for buses #70, #72, #74.
